Physical representation is a technique for marking out the presence and features of objects in the game. Commonly abbreviated as phys-rep, representations may resemble their diegetic counterparts to a greater or lesser extent.
Examples
Blue Rope is a low-tech and low-cost technique for marking out the physical boundaries of the space in a larp context. It is also a mechanism for marking out transformations in the game space which are more than simply boundaries between in-game and out-of-game spaces, but might also represent magical or extra-perceptual barriers.
